as 引导方式状语从句时，当主句和从句的主语一致，且从句谓语包含be 动词，通常会省略从句的 “主语 + be 动词”，形成 “as + 形容词 / 副词 / 介词短语 / 分词” 的结构。

她很外向，就像她小时候一样。
- The book is not so interesting, as (it is) expected.
这本书没那么有趣，正如预期的那样。
- He remains calm, as (he is) always.
他保持冷静，一如既往。
- You must leave the room as (you are) in the morning.
你必须像早上那样离开房间。
- The plan should be carried out as (it is) under the original schedule.
这个计划应按原时间表执行。
- He dressed himself as (he was) for the party.
他穿得就像要去参加派对一样。
- She stood there, as (she was) waiting for someone.

- The old man walked slowly, as (he was) carrying a heavy box.

有时会保留形式主语 it，形成 “as it is/was” 结构，本质仍是省略了后面的重复成分。

我以为这个任务会很简单，但事实上它很难。
- The house is small, but as it was (small), we can still live in it.
这房子很小，但就目前情况而言，我们还能住。
